Brief Biography
John A. Moran, Ph.D.
Dr. Moran is a licensed forensic clinical psychologist. During more than three decades of independent practice he served as a court-appointed expert in hundreds of family court cases providing evaluation, intervention, and parenting coordination services.
He has written articles and chapters for peer-reviewed publications. He is the author of two books for parents:
Overcoming the Alienation Trap: 33 Coparenting Solutions
and
Overcoming the Coparenting Trap: Essential Parenting Skills When a Child Resists a Parent
Dr. Moran has been an invited presenter at national conferences for psychologists, counselors, attorneys and judges regarding evaluation and treatment of parent-child resist refuse dynamics (RRD) such as parent alienation. He is on the Board of Directors of Overcoming Barriers, Inc. (OCB) and has served as clinical director at OCB family camps. He has provided intensive family therapy interventions in multiple states.
Dr. Moran provides consultation services to parents, families, attorneys and behavioral health professionals regarding evaluation and treatment of family problems involving alienation.
